Blake Hammond is an American theatre actor. He currently plays The Wizard in the 2nd National Tour of Wicked.
Biography[]
Blake Hammond is a native of Coryell County, Texas. He has appeared on the Broadway stage in numerous productions of On the Town (Uperman/MC), Kiss Me, Kate (Phillip), The Music Man (Quartet Tenor), Hairspray (Edna Turnblad), The Lion King (Pumbaa), Billy Elliot (Mr. Braithwaite), Elf (Chadwick), Sister Act (Ernie), First Date (Waiter), Living on Love (Bruce). He has also appeared in the national tours of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor, The Addams Family (Uncle Fester), Cinderella (Sebastian), Something Rotten (Nostradamus) and Hello Dolly (Rudolph). He appeared Off-Broadway in The Emperor, When Pigs Fly, Carnival and Do Re Mi (Encores). His regional theatre credits including Grumpy Old Men the Musical (Ogunquit Playhouse), Minskys (Ahmanson Theatre, LA), At Wit's End (Carbonell and Chicago After Dark Awards), The Producers (Joseph Jefferson Nomination) and When Pigs Fly (LA Drama Critics Award). His numerous Film and TV credits including "Rookie of the Year", "Star Trek Klingon Academy" and the award-winning "Then We Got Help" (Indy Soap Award).

Hammond replaced Tom McGowan as The Wizard in the 2nd National Tour of Wicked on May 7, 2024. He stars alongside Lauren Samuels as Elphaba, Austen Danielle Bohmer as Glinda, Aymee Garcia as Madame Morrible and Xavier McKinnon as Fiyero.
