Bowen Yang is an American actor, comedian, podcaster, and writer who in 2024 went onto portray the supporting character of Pfannee[2] in Wicked: Part I, as one of Glinda's college friends.
Biography[]
In December 2022, it was announced that once Jeff Goldblum completed talks that month, Yang alongside Ethan Slater, Michelle Yeoh, Marissa Bode, Bronwyn James, Keala Settle, Aaron Teoh and Colin Michael Carmichael were added to the supporting cast.[3]

- Contrary to Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the Westwhere his character of Pfannee is a woman, and this continued with the traditional casting of Pfannee as a woman in Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz, with Yang's casting, the character was gender-swapped to acomodate Yang.[4]
