Peerless Thropp, the Eminent Thropp of Nest Hardings, was the head of the Thropp family for decades, as well as a highly respected and wealthy individual in Munchkinland.
History[]
In Wicked, he was often mentioned as the Eminent Thropp of Munchkinland, having come to this title by not having any living sisters at the time of the previous eminence's death, as the eminenceship is traditionally passed through the female line.
He had one child, Lady Partra Thropp who gave birth to two daughters before her own death: Sophelia and Melena. While the former would ultimately die from the flu, the latter would elope with Frexspar the Godly, a unionist minister who met the family during the annual ball to benefit the local almshouse while requesting an application for the family estate’s patronage. The two of them would ultimately give Peerless three great-grandchildren - Elphaba, Nessarose, and Shell.
Several years into the adulthood of his great-grandchildren, Peerless was mentioned as still holding on to life, though ultimately, he would finally die and be replaced as Eminent Thropp by his great-granddaughter, Nessarose.
Description[]
He is described as being the token moneybags: beribboned, bespectacled, and bewigged.
